Every gadget today seems to be saying that they’ve got Bluetooth, and the more tech savvy will probably have stereo Bluetooth too, and maybe even bought a hands free phone headset-and-stereo earphones combo.

Uhm, sorry to tell you this, but your earphones are pretty useless with the iPhone. As a headset, it’s fine, but the earphones won’t run. (Well, there goes your $150. We hope you kept the receipt.)

You may also encounter some headphone issues too. Even if the jack will fit a 3.5 mm connector, but the connectors won’t stick into the port. They’ll eventually come out with the adaptor, but we suggest holding off till you buy the Shure earbuds.

In a gadget crazy world integration is the name of the game—can I use it with my other things, and do I need several yards of wire to do that? Well don’t waste time trying to figure it out with the iPhone. Some gadgets just won’t work with it. Deal.

For example, you can’t dock you iPhone in your speakers, because you’ll get a weird clickety sound straight out of the Blair Witch Project. While iPhone reps say they’re working on a problem (namely with the RF shielding, and a funky authenticator chip to notify your iPhone to stop making music and start acting like a phone), but you’ll have to wait until at least December.

Seagate has finally joined Hitachi and other hard drive manufacturers with the release of two new 1 terabyte hard drives that will be added to its Barracuda hard drives. The two drives are the 7200.11 (for consumers) and the ES.2 (for business usage).

The said drives will be available sometime in the third quarter of this year with the consumer hard drive to be sold for $399, which is at the same price point as Hitachi’s 1 terabyte Deskstar 7K1000.

Seagate has already shipped about 42 million drives with 34 million of the drives being from the Barracuda desktop 7200.11 family.
