I am now a "Postie"

Great news! After applying last week for PayPerPost, I have finally been approved for their marketplace and can now take opportunities in their system. Basically PayPerPost is a new kind of blog advertising system where bloggers have the opportunity to write a review about various products or services at the request of an advertiser and get paid for it. It’s a great way to make money for bloggers since they are basically getting paid to do what they love – simply to blog.

 

So far I don’t have too many opportunities available to me but the way the system works is that as advertisers make their review requests, each postie (that’s me) get’s a chance to reserve the opportunity to blog about the advertiser and “win” the ad campaign. What I like about PayPerPost is that they work hard to enforce their code of conduct which requires bloggers to disclose that they are being paid for certain posts. This eliminates what could be a misleading situation where a blogger writes supposedly unbiased review of a company while actually having received compensation for it.

 

But just because you are paid to write about something doesn’t mean you can’t offer your honest opinion and in many cases these posts can be interesting and useful for readers as well. Be on the lookout for more product reviews in the future, I will do my best to choose the most interesting ones to write about.
