One of the most understated automotive problems today is how to improve the overall ride of your car. It is understated because not too many people realize that the ride is mainly a responsibility of the suspension system and not the engine.
 
Suspension systems are usually designed to provide either a soft ride or a harder ride. Shock absorbers are either air/gas-filled(pneumatic) or fluid-filled (hydraulic). Shock absorbers usually are set up to work in tandem with suspension springs as well as other damping devices.
 
By replacing your suspension system with something more in tune with your idea of a comfortable ride, you can actually improve the comfort zone of your car without spending too much.
