Preventing Identity Theft While Traveling

31 October 2007. Author: batman
More serious and damaging than having your money stolen is having thieves gain access to your other financial information and being able to use them afterwards. And it all starts with what’s inside your wallet. When traveling, it’s best to check what you’re bringing in your wallet as well. Keep credit cards to a minimum – two at the most so that you’ll have a spare one to use in case one doesn’t work. Leave behind those bank deposit slips or blank checks. Identity thieves can access your bank accounts from the information found there. It’s also wise to keep the customer assistance numbers of your credit cards and your banks so that you can immediately alert them in case of loss or any emergency.
