Music Vrs. Video Games

There is no denying the fact that the video game industry is an entertainment juggernaut. The media has harped over the years about how video games have overtaken movies in terms of yearly revenue. Now it looks like the music industry will have to give way to the new entertainment king because of predictions that video game sales may surpass music sales this year. This was the prediction made by analysts from PriceWaterhouseCoopers in its report entitled Global Entertainment and Media Outlook. What is most interesting about the report is that even with gaming hardware sales not included, gaming industry will still outperform the music industry. This is going to put those old fogies at the big music companies in a tizzy.
