Bad News for MySpace

Every business, whether online or offline, faces trouble at some point in their business career. It is part of being in business. There are always ups and downs and one needs to go along for the ride. However, one always hopes that there are more ups than downs, and that the downs are not too serious. Unfortunately, MySpace witnessed a tragedy that resulted from their site. Although they are not directly responsible and they are not being charged, it is because of the site that the tragedy happened in the first place. MySpace and other sites like it are not intended for children, yet many children open accounts anyway. Parents should be monitoring them more closely but don’t for whatever reason. A thirteen year old girl named Megan Meier hanged herself after someone pulled a hoax on her. Lori Drew of Missouri along with some other unknown accomplices pretended to be a fifteen year old by named Josh Evans and wrote the girl cruel messages. The story ended very tragically.
