Microsoft recently added a couple of new features to its Microsoft Live application suite. These new features are a new photo gallery as well as file sharing capabilities. The two new features were released as betas – a photo gallery application as well as an online file sharing service.
According to Microsoft officials, the new features were devised in order to really emphasize the social experience aspects of Microsoft Live. Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta will allow people to upload their personal photos – acting like an online storage space. The photos can also be forwarded to Windows Live Spaces after it has been edited. The users can then send it to family and friends through email.
On the other hand, Live Folders will have 500 megabytes available for each user. This free storage will have a 50MB per item limit though. Sharing is fairly open ended with any kind of files acceptable for sharing.
Finally, Microsoft is adding more user friendly and value added services to its Microsoft Live application that does not look stingy. This is a step in the right direction. |
